Mentoring

The Panama City Symphony Orchestra understands the importance of giving back to its community, and does so with its unique mentoring program.

Emerging student musicians in 9th grade and beyond are encouraged to audition for the orchestra’s mentoring program. All applicants should also be at an advanced level and taking private lessons, as the mentoring process of the orchestra is not a substitute for private study.

If accepted into the mentoring program, students are placed with a mentor who will guide and teach them, and serve as an intermediary between the conductor and the rest of the orchestra.

The qualified student will also shadow experienced players for rehearsals and concert performances, receiving high level orchestral training in a professional environment.

Please contact us for more information on auditioning for The PCSO mentoring program.
